Globe Prepaid Roaming Information for Philippine and Overseas Subscribers:


What is Prepaid Roaming?

Prepaid Roaming is a service that allows Globe Handyphone Prepaid Plus subscribers to make and receive calls, and send and receive SMS using their Globe Handyphone SIM while they're overseas.


How do I apply for Prepaid Roaming Service?

  • Apply for Prepaid International roaming by calling Globe's 24-hour hotline (730-1000 from any landline or 211 from your Globe Handyphone) or by dropping by any Globe Telecom Business Center at least three days before your trip.

  • Fill up a form and your Prepaid International Roaming Service will be activated on the date of your departure.

    Only Prepaid subscribers who are at least 18 years old (and above) can apply for Prepaid Roaming service.


    Is there a limit on the duration for Prepaid Roaming activation?

    Yes. You may apply for Prepaid Roaming Service for a maximum of three (3) months.


    Can I request for an extension of my Prepaid Roaming Service while I am roaming overseas?

    Yes. You may call our 24-hour Globe Roaming support Hotline at +6327301212 to request for the extension of your Prepaid Roaming Service. To avoid roaming charges please use a landline to call collect. You will incur charges if you use your Globe Handyphone or Hotel phone when you call our 24-hour Globe Roaming Support Hotline.


    If I decide to have my Prepaid Roaming service cancelled while I am roaming overseas, will this be allowed?

    No. Your Prepaid Roaming Service cannot be cancelled while you are Roaming overseas. If you do not wish to use the Prepaid Roaming Service, simply turn off your phone or remove your Prepaid SIM from your phone.


    Can I call any telephone number in Philippines, landline or mobile?

    Yes, you can call any number in Philippines. (Note: Except Philcom, ETPI, and CAPWIRE). You may also call other countries using your globe prepaid while roaming.


    How do I use Prepaid Roaming?

    Step 1: To make a call while roaming, just follow the correct dialing sequence:

  • Dial *131*, followed by the (country code) e.g. 63 for Philippines followed by the area/access code and telephone number of person you wish to contact, then followed by the # key.

  • In short: *131*(country code)(area or access code)(telephone number)#

  • For example, you want to call landline number 730-1000 in the Philippines. Just dial the following sequence: *131*6327301000# and then press "CALL" button. (you will be charged for this call). Do not put spaces in between this sequence.

  • *131* is the Prepaid Roaming Access Code 63 is the Philippines' country code 2 is the area/access code of Metro Manila 7301000 is the number you want to call # to complete the dialing sequence


    Step 2: Press SEND. After you press send, a message will flash on your phone: "Please wait while we process your request". This message means that your call is being routed back to Globe Telecom. Simply wait. You will receive a return call within 10 seconds.


    Step 3: Answer the RETURN CALL. Once you answer the return call, you will be automatically connected to the party you want to reach. You will know that you are being connected because you will hear the ringing tone of the called party. When the party you want to reach answers the phone, you may begin the conversation.


    Step 4: If the party you want to reach is unavailable, your call will be disconnected after 5 rings.



    Is there a special code as well to receive calls when roaming?

    None, you can receive calls without typing any special code. Just accept the call the way you normally do when you have an incoming call. Just make sure that you still have prepaid credits left because you will be charged for incoming calls.


    Will I be able to receive Text Messages while roaming?

    Yes. In addition, all incoming text messages will be free of charge


    Will I be able to send Text Messages when I am roaming?

    Yes. The cost for sending Text Messages is P15 per SMS

    To ensure that your messages get through, please enter the recipient's mobtel number by using the +63917XXXXXXX format , instead of just entering the mobtel number. Also, please make sure that your message center number is +6391702.


    How do I check my card balance when I am overseas?

    Just dial the code *122# and press send. You will get a return message via SMS - "Please wait while we process your request". Upon successful reloading, this will be followed by another message - "Your Balance is Peso xx"


    Is this balance enquiry service chargeable?

    No, it is part of the roaming service provided to all Globe Telecom Mobile prepaid subscribers. You will be able to check your balance up to a maximum of 8 times daily.


    How do I reload when I am using a Globe Prepaid Sim Card with Roaming Service?

  • Dial the code *123*(prepaid call card number and pin)# and press send. There is no space between the Prepaid Call Card Number and PIN.

  • For ex. *123*0394466245495296# Wherein... *123* is the Reloading Code0396466245 is the Call Card Number 495296 is the call card PIN # ends the reloading sequence Press SEND.

  • After you press SEND, a message will flash on your phone - "Please wait while we process your request."

  • Upon successful processing, you will get a return message via SMS "Your top-up is successful. Your new balance is now Peso xxxx.xx"


    Is there a limit to the number of times I can reload prepaid credits?

    None. However, when you have reloaded call cards up to 3 consecutive times (meaning there was no usage at all in between the 3 reloads), please make one chargeable call first before reloading another call card. (This procedure is applicable for both local and international Prepaid Reloading).


    What are the other services I can enjoy while roaming?

    You can use Call Waiting, Call Hold, Voice Mail, and Send and Receive SMS. Caller-ID and set Call forward (Call Divert) services are disabled while roaming.


    Is there a Globe Customer Service Hotline to call when I am roaming?

    Yes, you can call our 24 hour Globe roaming support hotline at *131*6327301212# then press "CALL". You will be charged for the call if you use your Globe handyphone.

    To avoid roaming charges please use a landline and call collect to +6327301212, a Globe customer representative will take care of your inquiries while roaming.

    The Globe Roaming Support Hotline number is (632) 730-1212. This is the number you can CALL COLLECT by using a landline** while roaming in other countries when you have concerns and inquiries. This way you will not be charged for international calls every time you have difficulty while roaming. You may call regarding network and other service concerns such as dialing procedures. ** Please do not place calls from hotels or from your Globe Handyphone as you may be charged service fees by either the hotel switchboard or the foreign carrier.
