Globe International Roaming Problems and Errors FAQ
1. My Globe Handyphone has no signal.
You may currently be in a building where access to network is not available.
Your phone may have accessed a network that is not available. In this case, you may check your phone settings and select manual network selection so your phone could detect one that supports our service.
2. My Globe Handyphone displays "CHECK OPERATOR SERVICE" when I am making outgoing calls.
You may have the wrong dialing format. Check your dialed number and see if you are following the international dial. Format: (Country Code) (Area Code) (Number). This is dependent per country roamed.
You may have incorrect OWN number sending settings in your phone. You may check your phone settings and set own number settings to ON/PRESET.
The Enhance Full Rate (EFR) setting of your phone might be activated but the roaming partner's network does not support EFR. (EFR is a high data rate for 3G cell phones and devices). To deactivate your EFR, simply enter #3370#.
3. My call is dropped or it is always network busy when I am making an outgoing call.
The following possibilities are:
There may be high traffic conditions on either party involved in the call.
The person being called might be engaged in another call.
Either of the parties might have moved to a low coverage/no coverage area.
The person being called may have run out of battery.
You may no longer be logged on to home network.
The dialing procedure may be incorrect.
4. The number I dialed was incorrect when I attempted to make an outgoing call.
When roaming, please follow the International Dialing format. This is dependent on the call being made:

Roamer calling a Handyphone subscriber in the Philippines:
International Access Code + Country Code + Access Code + Handyphone Number

5. When I am making an outgoing call, my Globe Handyphone prompted "THIS CALL IS NOT PERMITTED".
Please check your phone settings; your call barring might be activated.
6. I am not receiving any incoming calls.
Your call divert might be activated. In this case, you must cancel all your defined diverts.
You may be in a low or no coverage area.
Your call barring might be activated. Check your phone settings and cancel call barring.
7. I cannot send International Roaming SMS and International Inter-Operator SMS while abroad.
Check your phone settings if Reply via same message center in number settings is activated. This setting should be set to No.
You may have incorrect message center number setting. Please set your message center number to 639170000130.
The roaming partner may not support SMS while roaming.
The international operator may not allow inter-operator SMS.
